Wedding Day

Holm Lea 25 West Bay Road, Rowella

Saturday 1 March 2025 2:40 arrival for 3pm start

Holm Lea is a historic property located 46 kilometres (about 50 minutes) north of Launceston. Built in 1911 by renowned neo-Gothic architect Alexander North, Holm Lea was not just a masterpiece of design but also North’s home until 1945, and later classified as National Trust due to its significance of the Arts and Crafts movement.

For many years the Norton children grew up here, adding to the layers of history and love that have shaped the property.  For us, Holm Lea offers more than just a stunning backdrop for our wedding—it’s a place that feels alive with stories, laughter, and the quiet charm of a time gone by.

Getting there on the wedding day:

Coaches will leave from 'Boatyard' 13 Park St at 1:45pm sharp via the East Tamar Hwy and Batman Bridge. They will return guests to a central city location after the wedding. The last bus leaves 'Holm Lea' at approximately 12am. Parking will be available in the paddock below the house for those wishing to drive private cars to and from the wedding. Please arrange your own transport if you wish to return to Launceston earlier.
